ACCOUNTANCY AND FINANCE JOBS FAQs
Remuneration can vary considerably in accountancy and finance due to the sheer number of roles. A payroll specialist working in Dublin could typically receive €47,000 a year, while this might be closer to €42,000 for an equivalent position in Galway or the Midlands. On the more senior side, a finance manager could expect to earn over €85,000 in Dublin, or closer to €75,000 elsewhere in Ireland.
There are some particularly lucrative opportunities, with executive positions – particularly in the Dublin area – often commanding six-digit figures. For example, a finance director in Dublin could earn over €135,000 a year.
The best accountancy and finance qualifications will depend on what career path you are focused on. For example, a chartered accountant may seek different certification to a finance analyst. Also, the types of places or finance departments you would like to work for may have their preferred awarding bodies.
Many organisations will be willing to support your studies while working, whether it be funding your course or providing time off work to take your exams.
We make sure to network with employers who are willing to invest in your abilities. Moreover, our expertise in accountancy and finance means we are always ready to offer you our own upskilling opportunities and career advice.
