Senior Financial Accountant - Wexford Hybrid Job - €70k+

A well-established manufacturing group in Wexford are looking for an experienced Financial Accountant to join their dynamic finance team, due to internal promotion and continued growth post-acquisition. Your new role

Reporting directly to the Director of Finance, this Senior Financial Accountant role will sit in a team of 5 people and have one direct report. You will be the principal accountant responsible for 5 Irish entities from a statutory, compliance, audit and internal controls perspective. Your duties will include but are not limited to:


  • Month end close for Irish entities
  • Statutory accounting for 5 Irish entities, including financial statement preparation under FRS102 and consolidated accounts for Irish entities
  • Tax compliance to include various tax heads and exposure to R&D tax credits
  • Manage the annual audit process
  • Management of intangible assets including ammortisation
  • Ongoing improvement across internal controls ensuring accuracy, efficiency and compliance
  • Manage and mentor 1 direct report, offering ongoing career development
  • Ad-hoc duties include cross collaboration across teams and various projects

What you'll need to succeed

  • Fully ACCA or ACA Qualified, ideally with 5+ years' PQE. CTA Qualification a plus

  • Statutory accounting, audit and tax compliance experience

  • Experience in a manufacturing, pharma or life sciences company, ideally large multinational

  • Understanding of standard costing in manufacturing

  • Experience with R&D tax credits

  • Experience with intangible assets and ammortisation

  • A can-do attitude, keen to collaborate with others and be part of a team
