Your new role

This is a once off opportunity to enter the educational system as the Financial Controller of a leading Cork School.

You will have responsibility for all of the finances of the school together with supporting the management team in non finance areas.

There will be responsibility:

• Financial Reporting with the provision of monthly and annual financial reports to the Principal, Board of Directors and Management.

• Preparation of annual budgets and the monitoring of costs to support the school in achieving savings and efficiencies.

• Oversee processing of invoices, grants, petty cash debtors, payroll, cashflow and PO system.

• Preparation of all financial returns and claims to the Department of Education.

• Ensure all revenue returns are filed and that the Tax Clearance Cert is renewed on time.

• Prepare final accounts and liaise with Auditors.

• Direct day-to-day responsibility for the administration staff of the college.

• Oversight of areas such as catering, maintenance, nursing staff and external contractors.

• Ownership of Capital Projects.

What you'll need to succeed

You must be a qualified accountant, ACA, CPA, ACCA, CIMA with Irish industry experience.
You must have people management experience, strong communication skills and the necessary energy to complete the tasks of this very busy position.
This is an all-encompassing role, and you must have a proven "can do" attitude where you roll up your sleeves and attend to any projects that can arise.
