Expanding Irish company has multiple opportunities across its Cork sites.

Your new company
My client set up over 10 years ago and with ambition has grown to have over 50 employees based across 2 sites in Cork. The company is now very well-established and specialising in advisory and accounting solutions for multi‑site owner‑managed businesses, basically acting as the finance function for clients, so producing not just financial accounts, but management accounts with detailed analysis to support businesses. YOU will basically be like the Financial Controller for a number of businesses. Established over a decade ago, the firm has built a strong reputation for delivering commercial, value‑driven financial insight that supports growth, improves margin and strengthens operational control.
With a growing team based in North Cork / South West Cork, the business continues to expand in line with client acquisitions and portfolio growth. This growth has created new opportunities within the management and account leadership teams.


Your new role
Due to continued growth and increasing client complexity, our client is seeking to appoint an experienced Senior Accountant to take ownership of a portfolio and lead a high‑performing team.

Oversight and final review of management accounts. Providing detailed analysis to the clients on accounts, margins,
  • Act as the senior escalation point for financial, technical and commercial matters
  • Support client growth, including onboarding of newly acquired entities
  • Ensure consistency, strong controls and best‑in‑class service delivery
  • Lead, manage and develop a team of approximately 4 junior part qualified accountants
  • Work closely with senior leadership to scale operations as the client base expands
This role is ideal for an experienced accountant who enjoys people leadership, client interaction and operational responsibility, with scope to progress further as the firm grows.


What you'll need to succeed

  • Qualified accountant (ACCA / CPA / CIMA / ACA) or qualified by experience
  • Minimum 3+ years’ post‑qualification or equivalent experience
  • Strong background in accounts preparation and review
  • Previous practice or advisory experience is strongly advantageous
  • Proven ability to manage, mentor and develop staff
  • Confident communicator as this job will be client‑facing
  • High attention to detail and ability to work to deadlines
  • Hybrid working available (5 office days per fortnight) following onboarding
