Your new role This Financial Accountant will report to the Financial Controller, joining a team of overall. Your new role as Financial Accountant will include day-to-day financial operations, financial reporting, balance sheet reconciliations, regulatory reporting, process improvements around controls and financial governance and ad-hoc projects.

Your new role This Financial Accountant will report to the Financial Controller, joining a team of overall. Your new role as Financial Accountant will include day-to-day financial operations, financial reporting, balance sheet reconciliations, regulatory reporting, process improvements around controls and financial governance and ad-hoc projects.
- Month-end duties including journal prep and posting, reconciliations, balance sheet reconciliations
- Monthly and quarterly regulatory returns
- Act as a key point of contact with external auditors and internal teams to support the delivery of the audit and statutory accounts
- Preparation of the statutory accounts
- Ongoing review and enhancement of internal controls as well as documentation of any process standardisation
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders across finance, internal audit and other operational departments
What you'll need to succeed
- You must be a fully qualified Accountant, ideally big 4 trained with 2 years' PQE in financial services industry
- Financial services experience is a must-have, retail banking specifically a plus.
- Experience with reviewing controls
- Experience with regulatory returns
- Ability to adapt to change and implement improvements as this change is navigated
