Your new role
As the Head of Financial Control UK & Ireland, you will report directly to the Financial Director (UK) and oversee two Assistant Controllers, one based in Dublin and the other in the UK. This role requires bi-weekly travel to the UK to work closely with your UK-based direct report. You will be part of a peer group of four other Financial Controllers, playing a key role in shaping financial strategy and ensuring essential controls are in place across accounting and compliance functions.

Your new role
As the Head of Financial Control UK & Ireland, you will report directly to the Financial Director (UK) and oversee two Assistant Controllers, one based in Dublin and the other in the UK. You will be part of a peer group of four other Financial Controllers, playing a key role in shaping financial strategy and ensuring essential controls are in place across accounting and compliance functions.
A key leadership position, reporting to the UK & Ireland Finance Director, is responsible for timely, accurate, and compliant financial reporting across the UK & Ireland. The role involves proactive management of working capital, currency requirements, balance sheet, pensions, payroll accounting, and taxation. You will also oversee external relationships with banks, auditors, and tax authorities, while partnering with the Executive Leadership Team on strategic financial decisions.
Main Accountabilities
- Leadership: Finance strategy, continuous improvement, business partnering, team development, and external stakeholder management.
- Controls & Compliance: Balance sheet oversight, IFRS & UK GAAP reporting, tax compliance, cash flow control, audit management, and financial process development.
What you'll need to succeed
- Fully qualified (ACCA, ACA, CPA, CIMA)
- Experienced with UK GAAP and IFRS accounting standards
- Adept to SAP R/3 and the Microsoft Office suite
- A strong communicator with excellent stakeholder management skills
- A commercially aware leader who thrives in a fast-paced, structured environment
- Able to work autonomously while fostering collaboration across teams
- Comfortable with international business dynamics, including bi-weekly UK travel
They offer a competitive salary (€110,000 - €120,000 DOE), alongside a 10% bonus and additional perks:
