Hays has been retained to recruit a Utilities Engineer / Analyst for a semi-state organisation in Cork. This role supports the assessment and integration of legacy water and wastewater infrastructure across the southern region, helping to ensure assets meet required standards before being adopted into the wider network.

Your new role

• Assessing legacy water and wastewater infrastructure assets
• Reviewing technical and asset-related data to support decision-making
• Engaging with local authorities and external stakeholders
• Conducting site visits and asset inspections – approx 1 day per week on-site
• Identifying infrastructure deficiencies and improvement requirements
• Supporting asset adoption programmes and ongoing infrastructure projects
• Maintaining accurate records and reporting information
• Working collaboratively within a growing national team

What you'll need to succeed

• Degree or qualification in Civil Engineering, Engineering or a related discipline

• Approximately 4+ years' relevant experience

• Experience within utilities, infrastructure, water, wastewater or asset-related environments

• Strong stakeholder management and communication skills

• Ability to work independently and manage competing priorities

• Full driving licence and willingness to undertake site visits
  
  Highly desirable:

• Local Authority experience

• Water or wastewater infrastructure experience

• Utilities asset management experience

• Civil or infrastructure project exposure
