Trainee Accountant

Your new company
A client based on the East side of Galway County has presented a great opportunity for a driven and career-focused individual to join the team. This role will be fully office based initially with the potential of working one day from home.

Your new role
  • Over time, you will have full management of a portfolio of clients, mainly SME's.
    Preparation of accounts and financial statements
    Managing relationships with your own clients
    Overseeing tax compliance, VAT returns, payroll compliance, preparing income tax returns and corporation tax returns
    Preparation of Accounts to Trial balance
    Managing Account files
    Audit preparation with the wider Finance team
What you'll need to succeed
  • Currently studying to qualify as an accountant within a practice or within an industry
    Two years’ experience (practice based is the preference)
    Excel – intermediate
    QuickBooks, Xero, Surf software experience
    Strong written communications skills are essential
    Ambitious and desire to develop a career in practice
