Tender Procurement Lead | 12 Months | Cork City - Hybrid

Your new company

Your new employer is a leading Irish semi-state service provider. They are committed to growth, innovation and sustainability continue to be top of their agenda. They now require a Tender Procurement Lead to join their team on a 12-month basis.

Your new role

As a key member of the Supply Chain team, you will ensure tenders and contracts are delivered in strict compliance with EU Procurement Regulations. You will provide expert procurement guidance to business owners, ensuring robust governance over tenders. This role involves preparing and coordinating strategic OJEU and stand-alone tender documentation, overseeing the tender process, and supporting evaluation teams through scoring sessions and supplier award processes in line with governance and internal policies. Acting as a point of escalation for the Tender Delivery Team, you will maintain effective internal controls, drive adherence to policies, and deliver a responsive, high-quality support service across the organisation. You will champion compliance with the Supply Chain Governance Framework, lead on delivering tenders according to the approved Demand Plan, and collaborate with Tender Delivery Managers to identify efficiencies and promote continuous improvement. Building strong relationships with stakeholders, including Supply Chain Strategy, Legal, Business Services, and Delivery Partners will be central to your success, alongside fostering a culture of collaboration and excellence. Additional duties may be assigned as required.

What you'll need to succeed

The ideal candidate will have a minimum of five years’ experience in a similar role, supported by a relevant third-level qualification. You will bring strong knowledge of developing and issuing tender documentation, including PQQ and ITT, both under OJEU and independently, with a solid understanding of Irish contract law. Experience in data manipulation and project management is essential, including the ability to develop and execute plans, manage teams and stakeholder groups, create communication plans, and identify and mitigate risks. A thorough understanding of the end-to-end strategic and tactical sourcing process is required, along with the ability to anticipate Supply Chain information and service needs.
