Technical Document Writer / Document Controller – Hourly Rate – 48 Weeks Initially

Your New Company
Your new company is a Semi-State body that operates nationally and is responsible for some of Ireland’s key transport infrastructure. They have offices nationwide and are currently going through a sustained period of growth.
They are undertaking major, transformative railway projects around the country. As such, they are looking for a well-experienced Technical Document Writer / Document Controller to join the Mechanical & Electrical Section of the Civil Engineering Department to work alongside the Commercial Manager for this project.


Your New Role
In your new role as a Technical Document Writer / Document Controller, you will be responsible for all aspects of the management of inspection, maintenance and repair activities for their mechanical & electrical systems that include railway stations, freight yards, level crossings, residential accommodation and compounds/associated assets under electrified lines and other operating facilities associated with the rail network.
You will also be responsible for researching, drafting, editing, and updating technical documents, along with producing, managing, and maintaining documentation.


What You Need to Succeed
  • 5 years document management experience.
  • Must be proficient in publishing papers, standards or technical documentation
  • The ability to handle large amounts of complex data, so information management skills are essential.
  • A sharp eye for detail
  • Research skills
  • Ability to work to strict deadlines
  • Technical or scientific educational background
  • Accuracy and attention to detail
  • The candidate must have excellent PC skills and be proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and SharePoint.
  • The candidate shall possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to liaise effectively with internal stakeholders, suppliers, and external service providers.

You will be remunerated on a strong salary. This salary is budgeted up to €60’000 per annum and this is solely based on your experience.
You will also have 21 days annual leave and 10 paid Bank Holidays per year.
