Your new company

You’ll be joining a large, regulated national utility operating at the heart of Ireland’s essential infrastructure. The organisation plays a critical role in protecting public health, supporting economic growth and safeguarding the environment. With a strong focus on transformation and long‑term investment, it offers a collaborative, purpose‑driven workplace where people are encouraged to contribute, innovate and grow.

Your new role

As a Talent Acquisition Specialist, you’ll sit within a central HR Transactional Services team, reporting to the Talent Acquisition Manager. You’ll be responsible for delivering end‑to‑end recruitment across a complex and evolving organisation, ensuring a consistently positive candidate experience.
Key duties will include:
  • Partnering with HR Business Partners and hiring managers to identify, attract and hire high‑quality candidates
  • Delivering against the organisation’s resourcing plan to ensure business capability across permanent, temporary and early‑career hiring
  • Managing the full recruitment lifecycle from role advertisement through to onboarding
  • Working closely with the wider talent acquisition team to drive efficient service delivery and high‑quality outcomes
  • Developing, maintaining and tracking resourcing plans to support business priorities
  • Designing and maintaining recruitment reporting, analytics and KPI dashboards to provide meaningful insights to HR and the business
  • Developing and implementing direct sourcing strategies, including innovative approaches for hard‑to‑fill roles
  • Building and maintaining talent pipelines to support timely hiring
  • Managing recruitment vendors and ensuring adherence to agreed processes and performance standards
  • Acting as a point of contact for internal candidates, providing feedback and coaching where required
  • Overseeing intern and summer student programmes, from workforce planning through to attraction and delivery
  • Supporting employer branding initiatives through campaigns, career events, graduate fairs and academic partnerships
  • Ensuring visa and work permit information is accurately tracked and communicated
  • Escalating risks or issues to the Talent Acquisition Manager as appropriate
  • Supporting additional HR or recruitment activities as required

What you'll need to succeed

You’ll bring 3–5 years’ general HR experience, including at least two years in HR Operations or Talent Acquisition, with proven end‑to‑end recruitment experience across multiple functions and seniority levels. You’ll be comfortable building strong relationships with stakeholders at all levels and confident working in a changing or emerging organisation. Strong analytical capability is essential, particularly in producing recruitment metrics and KPI reporting, alongside experience in direct sourcing and vendor management. You’ll also demonstrate excellent influencing, negotiation, written and verbal communication skills, with a professional and candidate‑focused approach throughout.
