Talent Acquisition Specialist | Cork | Hybrid | Temp

Your new company

Your new employer is a leading Irish semi-state service provider. They are committed to growth, innovation and sustainability continue to be top of their agenda. They now require a Talent Acquisition Specialist to join their team on a 6-month basis.

Your new role

The Talent Acquisition Specialist will be part of a central HR support team, delivering transactional HR services across a range of functions including learning and development, payroll, pensions, recruitment, and employee communications. Reporting to the Talent Acquisition Manager, the Specialist will manage the full recruitment lifecycle—from advertising roles to onboarding new hires—while ensuring a positive candidate experience. The role involves close collaboration with HR Business Partners, hiring managers, and integration teams to support strategic workforce planning and prioritisation. Key responsibilities include developing direct sourcing strategies, maintaining a pipeline of qualified candidates, managing recruitment analytics and KPIs, and overseeing vendor relationships. The Specialist will also coordinate intern and student programmes, support employer branding initiatives, and act as a point of contact for internal candidates. Additional duties include monitoring visa and work permit requirements, escalating risks as needed, and contributing to continuous improvement across recruitment operations.

What you'll need to succeed

The ideal candidate will have three to five years of general HR experience, including at least two years in HR operations, supported by a relevant third-level qualification. They will have a strong track record of managing end-to-end recruitment across various departments and levels. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills are essential, along with the ability to build effective relationships and influence stakeholders. The candidate should demonstrate strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, experience navigating organisational change, and a proactive approach to sourcing and talent acquisition. CIPD membership is desirable.
