Your New Role
  • You will be a Sustainability Engineer responsible for the design, development and evaluation of energy-related projects or programs to reduce energy costs or improve energy efficiency during the designing, building or re-modelling stages of construction.
  • Use IES-VE software to model and simulate building energy performance for a variety of projects
  • Carry out commercial EPC studies and ESOS assessments
  • Work closely with clients to provide accurate reports. Identify opportunities to improve building energy performance and suggest design solutions to clients
  • Prepare reports and presentations on modelling results and design solutions
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry trends, software updates and best practices in energy modelling

What You'll Need to Succeed
  • A minimum Degree in Building Services is required – Sustainability/Electrical/Mechanical/Civil-Structural Engineering with further qualifications in Energy/Sustainability.
  • Thermal Modelling using IES VE with a solid understanding of MEP services in addition to a general understanding of current Building Regulations including Part L and Part F
  • Experience in electrical systems; heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC) systems; green buildings; lighting; air quality; or energy procurement is an added advantage.
  • Experience in NEAP, Daylight, thermal comfort and heating and cooling calculations
  • Ability to generate thermal load assessments, overheating analyses, and thermal comfort studies.
  • Commercial and domestic BER assessments–approved assessor desirable.
