Job Overview

Seeking a Senior Data Engineer to design, build, and maintain scalable data pipelines and integrations across Snowflake, Azure, and Airflow environments. The role focusses on ensuring data quality, integrity, and automation while supporting analytics, reporting, and machine learning use cases.

Key Responsibilities
• Integrate and consolidate data from on-prem and cloud sources into Snowflake.
• Build and optimise ETL/ELT pipelines using Snowflake, Python, Airflow, and SQL.
• Implement data masking/de-identification and quality checks (e.g., Great Expectations, Soda).
• Create and maintain CI/CD pipelines using Git and Git Actions.
• Develop and tune complex SQL stored procedures and transformations.
• Model data using Star Schema, Dimensional, or Data Vault techniques.
• Ensure monitoring, automation, and reliability of data pipelines.
• Collaborate with Data Architects, Analysts, and Business teams to align solutions with requirements.

Required Skills
• Strong experience as a Data Engineer with Snowflake and Python.
• Advanced SQL (including window functions).
• Hands-on experience with Airflow, CI/CD (Git, Git Actions), and data modelling.
• Knowledge of RDBMS and NoSQL databases.
• Understanding of data security, access control, and DevOps practices.
• Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.

Preferred Skills
• 3–5 years of experience in Data Engineering.
• Experience deploying workloads on Kubernetes and building Docker images.
• Exposure to Azure services (Blob, Data Factory, Functions, Key Vault, Containers).
• Strong problem-solving and communication skills; able to work independently.
