Residential Site Manager

Your new role

As Site Manager, you will be a key member of the Construction Team, responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of residential construction projects. You will ensure that works are carried out in accordance with design specifications, manage contractor interfaces, and maintain detailed site records. Your role will involve supervising construction activities, assessing contractor claims and payment applications, coordinating site meetings, and ensuring compliance with health and safety legislation.
Key responsibilities include:

  • On-site supervision of construction works.
  • Ensuring compliance with design and quality standards.
  • Reporting to the Employer’s Representative.
  • Reviewing contractor submissions and method statements.
  • Managing site documentation and photographic records.
  • Attending site meetings and coordinating with other supervisory staff.
  • Supporting contract administration and health & safety compliance

What you'll need to succeed

  • A degree in Engineering or an equivalent professional qualification.
  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience as a Site Manager or Resident Engineer.
  • Proven track record in delivering residential projects.
  • Strong knowledge of civil engineering, building construction, and project management.
  • Familiarity with Safety, Health and Welfare at Work Regulations.
  • Excellent communication skills and attention to detail.
  • High level of motivation and ability to work independently or within a team.
  • Full clean driving licence (site travel required).
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Excel; experience with property-related IT systems is a plus.
