Your new role

The ideal candidates will have 7-15 years + site or Industry experience in a similar capacity, will have strong communication skills, and will be energetic and motivated.
As the Senior Site Manager you will have full responsibility for construction and management of the site ensuring a safe and efficient delivery of the project.
Responsibilities include supervising the buildings from groundwork construction through to full completion and handover of units, complete with site development works, on a phased basis. You will be required to manage and coordinate all trade contractors whilst maintaining a high expectation of health & safety, and quality control, and to liaise with the project Design Team and ACL senior Management in so doing. Due to continued expansion, this company has immediate vacancies for a Senior Site Manager to take the lead role on a challenging Residential Project starting in February 2026.

Some Additional Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and manage all on‑site construction activities, ensuring the project is delivered safely, on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
  • Supervise and mentor site teams, including Site Managers, Foremen, Engineers, and subcontractors, providing guidance and resolving issues before they impact the programme.
  • Strategically plan site logistics and sequencing, coordinating resources, crane operations, material flow, and workforce allocation for efficient delivery across multiple blocks/phases.
  • Drive Health & Safety culture, ensuring full compliance with statutory regulations, reviewing RAMS, conducting inspections, and leading safety meetings and audits.
  • Oversee quality assurance and compliance, ensuring works meet design specifications, building regulations, and client requirements, with early identification and resolution of defects.
  • Liaise with senior stakeholders, including Project Managers, Design Teams, Clients, Engineers, and Local Authorities to address technical queries, approvals, and design changes.
  • Monitor programme performance, updating schedules, mitigating delays, and implementing recovery plans to maintain key milestones.
  • Manage key documentation, including site reports, inspections, permits, daily logs, and compliance records, ensuring accurate and up-to-date information for project reporting.
  • Support commercial teams, including confirming variations, monitoring labour and material usage, and contributing to cost control and procurement planning.
  • Lead handover and commissioning activities, ensuring full sign‑off, certification, and delivery of high‑quality completed units to the client or purchaser.



What you'll need to succeed

  • Strong communication skills
  • Ability to prioritise workload / excellent time management / excellent managerial skills.
  • Ability to work on your own initiative and to manage a multidisciplinary site team.
  • Proven ability to operate and manage a challenging & tight building programme.
  • Proven experience in various Construction Methodologies including RC, Timber Frame and Traditional block build.
  • Proven experience in Groundworks and Ground Improvement.
  • Previous experience in similar capacity
  • Strong IT skills
  • Career minded, energetic and enthusiastic.
  • Excellent people management and client skills.
  • Excellent reference and track record.
