Site Manager – Cork Based Pharma Projects

With a strong reputation for excellence, the business continues to grow and is now seeking an experienced Site Manager to oversee the successful delivery of either a large‑scale construction site or multiple smaller projects. VCL places a strong emphasis on safety, quality, and client satisfaction.
Your new role
As Site Manager, you will take responsibility for the day‑to‑day coordination and management of on‑site activities. You will ensure all VCL processes are adhered to, projects are delivered on time and within budget, and work is completed to industry‑leading standards.
Depending on project size and complexity, you may work as part of a wider site team or operate as the senior lead across multiple sites.
Key duties include:
Leading and motivating site teams to achieve project milestones
Planning, organising, and coordinating construction works in line with scope and programme requirements
Managing all site communications with clients, subcontractors, and internal stakeholders
Identifying and resolving on‑site issues efficiently
Ensuring strict compliance with Health & Safety, environmental, and quality procedures
Monitoring budgets, costs, resources, and material usage
Overseeing quality construction to ensure the highest quality standards
Managing multiple site operations simultaneously when required
Making confident decisions to keep the project progressing
Using relevant project management systems and Microsoft Office tools
Maintaining a strong client focus throughout project delivery
What you'll need to succeed
A relevant third‑level qualification or trade background
Minimum 5 years’ experience in a similar construction Site Manager role
Strong leadership and team‑management capability
Excellent planning, organisational, and communication skills
In‑depth understanding of construction methods, materials, and building regulations
Proven experience managing budgets, costs, and resources
Strong problem‑solving skills and ability to work under pressure
Ability to manage multiple projects or work fronts
Proficiency in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and project management tools
Experience working with both main contractors and subcontractors
