A well-established, family-run construction contractor based in County Cork is seeking a skilled Site Setting Out Engineer to join its growing team. Role Overview
Reporting to the Project Manager, the successful candidate will ensure the accuracy of structures throughout the build process, working closely with site teams to deliver projects in line with design specifications and industry standards.

️ Key Responsibilities
  • Ensure strict adherence to health and safety protocols on site
  • Perform setting out, levelling, and surveying using Total Stations and GPS equipment
  • Interpret technical drawings and verify site measurements
  • Manage survey data and maintain accurate records
  • Provide regular progress updates to site management and clients
  • Use AutoCAD to verify on-site dimensions
  • Take levels for various structural elements, including steel frames, concrete finishes, drainage, and roadways.
  • Liaise with subcontractors and site managers to ensure smooth operations
Candidate Requirements
  • Degree or Diploma in Civil, Structural Engineering, or Construction Management
  • Valid Safe Pass
  • Minimum 2 years’ experience in a similar setting out role
  • Strong proficiency in Topcon equipment and AutoCAD
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
  • Solid understanding of building regulations and certification standards
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and work under pressure
