Your new role
As a Senior Site Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in the successful delivery of complex construction projects from inception to completion. You will be responsible for overseeing on-site operations, ensuring technical compliance, and leading a team of engineers and subcontractors to meet project milestones. This is a hands-on role that requires a proactive leader with strong technical acumen and a passion for excellence in construction.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage day-to-day site operations and ensure adherence to project specifications, timelines, and budgets.
  • Coordinate with project managers, architects, consultants, and subcontractors to ensure seamless execution.
  • Conduct site inspections, quality control checks, and ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
  • Interpret technical drawings and provide guidance to junior engineers and site staff.
  • Prepare and maintain detailed site reports, progress updates, and documentation.
  • Resolve technical issues and implement innovative solutions to enhance project efficiency.
  • Mentor and support the development of junior team members.

What you'll need to succeed
  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or a related field (Master’s degree preferred).
  • Minimum of 7 years’ experience in site engineering within the construction industry.
  • Proven track record of managing large-scale commercial or infrastructure projects.
  • Strong knowledge of construction methodologies, materials, and regulatory standards.
  • Proficient in project management software and CAD tools.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Professional accreditation (e.g., Chartered Engineer status) is an advantage.
