North Kerry | Senior Engineer | Residential

Hays Recruitment are working with a Housing Developer to recruit a Senior Engineer for a flagship residential project in North Kerry. The development will deliver approximately 120 units across a mix of property types, creating a vibrant new community.

Role Overview
The Senior Engineer will take a leading role in managing site operations, ensuring the highest standards of quality, safety, and efficiency. You will act as the technical authority on-site, coordinating with contractors, consultants, and stakeholders to drive the project forward.

Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee daily engineering activities on-site.
  • Ensure compliance with design specifications, building regulations, and health & safety standards.
  • Supervise and mentor junior engineers and site staff.
  • Liaise with architects, consultants, and subcontractors to resolve technical issues.
  • Monitor progress, quality, and costs to keep the project on track.
  • Report directly to the Project Manager and contribute to strategic decision-making.
Requirements
  • Degree in Civil Engineering or related discipline.
  • 5+ years’ experience in residential construction projects.
  • Strong knowledge of Irish building regulations and standards.
  • Proven track record in managing medium-to-large scale developments.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
