Your new role

As a Senior Quantity Surveyor, you will play a pivotal role in the successful delivery of residential projects from pre-construction through to final account. You will be responsible for managing all aspects of cost planning, procurement, contract administration, and commercial reporting. Working closely with the Commercial Manager and site teams, you will ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest standards.

Some key responsibilities include:
  • Prepare and manage accurate cost estimates and budgets for residential developments
  • Oversee procurement processes, including tendering and contract negotiation
  • Monitor project costs and provide regular financial reports to senior management
  • Manage subcontractor accounts, valuations, and variations
  • Ensure compliance with contractual obligations and company procedures
  • Provide commercial input into project planning and risk management
  • Mentor junior QS staff and contribute to team development

What you'll need to succeed
  • Degree-qualified in Quantity Surveying or a related discipline
  • Minimum 8 years’ experience in a QS role, ideally within residential construction
  • Strong knowledge of Irish building regulations, contracts (e.g., RIAI, JCT), and procurement methods
  • Proven track record of managing budgets, cost control, and commercial reporting
  • Excellent negotiation, communication, and stakeholder management skills
  • Proficient in relevant software (e.g., Excel, CostX, Buildsoft, or similar)
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team
  • Full driving licence and willingness to travel to site as required


What you'll get in return

In return for your hard work and dedication, you will receive the following:
You will be reviewed for a high-paying salary of up to €100,000 for the right candidate. On top of this, you will receive a company package which may include a company pension which can be allocated after a successful probation period, and a company vehicle with a fuel card to assist with mileage.
A yearly/performance bonus in place with a performance and salary review after the completed six-month probation period.
This will be an office-based role with the opportunity for flexible arrangements and offering 1–2 days working from home. There may be occasional site visits required.
Additional annual leave days can be offered, not including bank holidays.
Working hours will range from 40 to 45 hours a week.
