Senior Quantity Surveyor - Data Centre - West Dublin Based

Your new role

As a Senior Quantity Surveyor, you will play a major role in the commercial management of a complex construction project. You will lead cost control activities, manage subcontractor accounts, support procurement, and provide strategic commercial input throughout the full project lifecycle.

Key responsibilities include:
  • Measuring work packages, producing cost build‑ups, and applying appropriate rates.
  • Managing project budgets in line with direction from senior project leadership.
  • Preparing and presenting monthly commercial reports.
  • Attending commercial and subcontractor meetings to review performance and resolve issues.
  • Overseeing subcontractor procurement, negotiation, appointments, and ongoing commercial management.
  • Preparing and submitting valuations, claims, contract notices and final accounts.
  • Maintaining accurate documentation for cost changes, variations, and entitlement.
  • Acting as a senior commercial point of contact for clients and internal stakeholders.
  • Supporting and mentoring junior commercial team members.
What you’ll need to succeed

  • A degree in Quantity Surveying or a related discipline.
  • At least 8 years’ experience in a similar senior commercial role.
  • Strong commercial acumen with a proven track record in subcontract management and cost reporting.
  • Excellent analytical, organisational, and communication skills.
  • Ability to work effectively within fast‑paced, large‑scale construction environments.
  • High attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple workstreams simultaneously.
  • Experience delivering on technically complex projects (data centre or mission‑critical environments advantageous).
