Senior Mechanical Design Engineer (Dublin) - 65k - 80k (Building Services Experience Necessary)

Your new company is a very well-known and highly regarded Building Services and C&S consultancy based in the heart of Dublin’s fair city. They are an award-winning Multidisciplinary Consulting Engineering Practice and their skilled engineers in a variety of disciplines provide expert advice to a diverse range of clients in all sectors of the economy.
There is an opportunity for a Senior Mechanical Engineer – Building Services in its Dublin city centre office. The role would suit an experienced Mechanical Engineer who has the ambition to work in a progressive and innovative design consultancy. A career path to Associate will be laid for the right person.

Your new role
  • Design and specification of Mechanical Engineering Solutions to current regulations and design standards.
  • Working directly with clients and project engineers to define project requirements and develop technical solutions.
  • Develop and agree design processes and design deliverables.
  • Lead Pre-Construction
    Activities including design development, construction details, service coordination, technical submittals, subcontracts, etc.
  • Provide technical support to the estimating, procurement, commercial, and project bid teams.
  • Provide off-site technical support to construction teams.
  • Projects include Large scale Residential, Commercial Office S&C and fitout, Retail, Healthcare & Pharma.


What you will need to succeed
  • Strong technical ability in all aspects of Mechanical Engineering Services & Design
  • Third level diploma / degree in Mechanical or Building Services Engineering
  • 5+ years relevant experience, ideally in a design consultancy environment
  • Knowledge & experience of current CIBSE and Ashrae Design Guides, Building Regulations, EN
    and IEC Standards
  • Experience in Hevacomp, AutoCAD and MS Office Suite Software
  • Experience of client, vendor & contractor interaction & management
  • Proactive, a good communicator with the ability to work well with others in a multifunctional project team.
  • Excellent level of attention to detail and accuracy.
