Your New Position
In your new role as a Senior / Lead HVDC Electrical Engineer, you will work within a multidisciplinary Energy and Infrastructure team delivering high‑profile Transmission & Distribution (T&D) projects across Europe. This role offers the opportunity to lead and contribute to HVAC and HVDC design packages from concept through construction, working across feasibility studies, FEED, regulatory advisory, interconnectors, offshore wind, utilities, rail, data centres, and industrial facilities.
You will collaborate closely with internal teams, external stakeholders, clients, and service providers, presenting technical solutions and influencing strategic project outcomes.


What You Need to Succeed
  • Qualification in Electrical Engineering, Electrical Power Systems, or related discipline.
  • Experience providing consultancy services for transmission and distribution utilities or HVDC developers.
  • Understanding of European and international grid connection processes and Grid Codes.
  • Extensive knowledge of HVDC technologies and converter station layouts.
  • Experience with interconnector, onshore, and offshore HVDC schemes.
  • Proficiency in power system analysis software (e.g., PowerFactory, PSS/E, IPSA, ETAP, PSCAD, EMTP-ATP, ERACS, SKM).
  • Modelling capability in DPL, Python, or similar.
  • Experience in insulation coordination, protection settings, cable thermal ratings, transformer calculations, system losses, and earthing design.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder‑management skills.
