Senior Finance Manager

Your new company
You will be joining a well‑established energy infrastructure organisation that plays a critical role in connecting electricity markets and supporting long‑term energy security. The business has recently undergone significant investment and is entering an exciting new phase of growth and stability. With a small, collaborative finance team and strong leadership, this organisation offers a secure, supportive environment with excellent benefits and flexibility.

Your new role
As Senior Finance Manager, you will step into a key position within a tight‑knit finance team of three, working closely with the Finance Director and supporting the wider business. This is a hands‑on, traditional month‑end and financial‑accounting role where you will take ownership of core finance processes and ensure smooth day‑to‑day operations.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Managing month‑end close, financial accounting and reporting
  • Preparing monthly finance packs, variance analysis and cash‑flow reporting
  • Overseeing accounts payable, treasury, payroll, budgeting and forecasting
  • Ensuring full compliance with tax, statutory and regulatory requirements
  • Maintaining strong internal controls and corporate governance standards
  • Supporting company secretarial duties
  • Working autonomously and ensuring continuity during periods of team leave
What you'll need to succeed
To excel in this role, you will bring:

  • Qualification as an Accountant with 2+ years PQE in a commercial environment
  • Strong understanding of IFRS
  • Advanced Excel and solid experience with accounting systems
  • Experience working across both transactional and higher‑level reporting activities
  • Strong commercial awareness and curiosity about the business behind the numbers
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to work with stakeholders at all levels
  • High attention to detail, ownership of tasks and the ability to meet deadlines
  • A proactive, self‑sufficient approach, able to work independently and solve problems
  • A steady, mature mindset, this is a stable, straightforward operation
  • Experience in utilities or regulated environments is a strong advantage
This role suits someone who enjoys stability, autonomy and meaningful ownership rather than chasing rapid upward progression.

What you'll get in return
  • Salary up to €100k DOE
  • Bonus scheme
  • Pension & healthcare
  • Additional incentives being introduced
  • Hybrid work available
  • Supportive, friendly team environment
  • Stable organisation with long‑term investment backing
  • Flexible working options available
