Your new role
- In this role, you will collaborate closely with Principal Environmental Consultants and multidisciplinary teams to deliver some of the most exciting and influential projects in Ireland’s water, energy, and transport sectors.
- You will contribute to both major infrastructure developments and specialist environmental assignments, working alongside project managers, engineers, environmental scientists, and other professionals.
- You will play a key part in organising and managing inputs to environmental projects, including EIARs and non‑statutory reports.
- You’ll take ownership of smaller projects, managing delivery and client liaison, and support project managers on larger schemes to coordinate timelines and resources effectively.
- Success in this role means bringing strong organisational, technical, numerical, and communication skills, with an ability to work both independently and collaboratively across teams.
- You will also leverage your technical specialism whether in air, climate, noise & vibration, or another environmental disciplines, to deliver high quality project outcomes.
What you'll need to succeed
- You will hold a degree in a relevant environmental or scientific discipline, with a master’s qualification preferred but not essential.
- You will bring proven post graduate consultancy experience, particularly supporting the preparation of EIARs and non‑statutory environmental reports, along with Chartered Membership of a relevant professional body.
- Success in this role requires strong experience across a range of project types, such as transport and energy, and a solid working knowledge of planning, environmental legislation, and industry best practice.
- You will have a track record of producing high quality technical reports and EIAR chapters, as well as supporting EIA screenings and non‑statutory assessments.
- You will be confident managing projects, budgets, and environmental surveys, and contributing to team development through technical support and mentoring.
- Experience engaging with stakeholders, familiarity with GIS tools (QGIS, MapInfo or ArcGIS), and strong data management skills are all advantageous.
- Transport and a full driver’s licence is required for client meetings.
