Join our client’s team in Cork as a Senior EHS Advisor

Our client is seeking an experienced Senior Environmental Health & Safety (EHS) Advisor to join their team in Cork. This role offers the opportunity to work on diverse projects within the commercial and pharmaceutical sectors, with flexibility to be transient between sites.

As part of their dedicated team, you will play a key role in developing, monitoring, and implementing the EHS Management System, ensuring compliance with all Health & Safety regulations and promoting a culture of safety excellence.

Key Responsibilities
  • Implement the client’s EHS policies, procedures, and management systems.
  • Provide expert advice and guidance to management, employees, and subcontractors.
  • Ensure compliance with statutory Environmental, Health & Safety legislation.
  • Deliver training programmes including inductions for new employees and subcontractors.
  • Develop and review EHS documentation (method statements, risk assessments, permits to work).
  • Conduct site inspections and audits, reporting findings and ensuring corrective actions.
  • Manage incident reporting, investigation, and communication of lessons learnt.
  • Maintain EHS records, registers, and monthly reports for management.
  • Support site management with EHS initiatives and toolbox talks.
  • Compile and prepare Safety Files for client handover at project completion.
  • Promote a proactive, incident and injury-free workplace culture.
Skills & Experience
  • Relevant third-level qualification in Environmental, Health & Safety.
  • Minimum 8 years’ EHS experience, ideally on large-scale projects.
  • Proven track record in the Commercial and/or Pharmaceutical sectors.
  • Full, clean driving licence.
  • Strong IT skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel essential).
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and build strong stakeholder relationships.
