Your new role

As Senior Civil Engineer, you will be responsible for ensuring projects are delivered safely, accurately and efficiently on site. You will manage daily construction activities, supervise subcontractors, coordinate with design teams, and ensure all works meet the required quality and compliance standards.

Your responsibilities will include:

Ensuring all work is completed to the highest quality standards and in line with project procedures.
Reading and interpreting construction drawings.
Management of general workforce and subcontractors.
Ensuring accurate setting‑out information is available and clearly communicated on site.
Attending meetings and maintaining clear communication with designers and subcontractors.
Liaising with client representatives and design team members.
Reviewing design drawings and notifying the designer of any design issues.
Planning works efficiently to meet programme targets.
Managing day‑to‑day activities, including self‑management, quality control, minimising rework and maintaining contractual awareness.

What you'll need to succeed

Degree in Civil Engineering or a related field.
5+ years’ experience in the construction industry.
Previous experience managing road construction and housing projects.
Strong IT skills, including AutoCAD, Civil 3D and MS Project.
Strong leadership, communication and organisational skills.
