Senior Architectural Technologist - Permanent Vacancy - Galway

Your new company

Our client is an award winning practice based in Galway. They are seeking to recruit a Senior Architectural Technologist who can run significant scale projects. Their focus areas are residential, commercial and industrial projects nationwide. You will be involved in varying scale projects from conception to completion. They are ideally looking for a candidate with 8 or more years' experience and proficient in using Revit.

Your new role

  • This position would suit an individual with 8 or more years' experience running their own projects, as you will inherit projects at various stages.
  • Experience working on medium to large scale residential, commercial and industrial projects is an advantage.
  • You will coordinate projects from inception to completion.
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills.
  • The ability to use initiative and have excellent problem solving abilities.
  • Strong understanding of design principles and building regulations.
  • Participate in presentations, site visits, client meetings, subcontractor meetings and other meetings.
  • Provide advice, technical direction and on-the-job training to staff.
  • Keep the Directors informed of all circumstances that could affect projects or clients.
  • You will have the support of an experienced team along the way who are invested in your development and career progression.


What you'll need to succeed

To succeed in this role, the ideal candidate will hold a degree in Architectural Technology. Proven experience leading projects from initial concept through to completion, particularly across residential and commercial sectors. Familiarity with the Irish or UK markets is essential, as is a strong working knowledge of AutoCAD and Revit, which are the primary tools used within the practice. The successful candidate will demonstrate technical excellence, attention to detail, and the ability to collaborate effectively within a dynamic team environment.
