Senior Accounts Assistant - €50,000 DOE - South Dublin, Dublin 8

Your new company

A well-established organisation in the private sector, based in South Dublin, is seeking to hire a Senior Accounts Assistant with strong experience across accounts payable, receivable, and credit control. This is a full-time position offered initially on a 12-month contract with a strong possibility of extension or permanency. The role offers a competitive salary of €47,000 to €50,000 depending on experience and is a great opportunity to join a reputable and growing finance team.

Your new role

Your new role will involve managing the day-to-day operations of the accounts payable and receivable functions, posting and allocating payments, reconciling supplier and customer accounts, and overseeing credit control processes. You will also assist with month-end reporting, journal entries, and audit preparation. The role requires regular interaction with both internal departments and external stakeholders, and you will be expected to maintain a high level of professionalism and accuracy in all financial transactions.

What you'll need to succeed

To be a successful candidate, you will need a minimum of 5 years’ experience in a similar accounting role with a strong understanding of both payables and receivables. Experience with SAP or a similar ERP system is desirable but not essential, as training will be provided. You should be proficient in Microsoft Excel and have excellent attention to detail. The ideal candidate will be organised, self-motivated, and capable of working independently while maintaining confidentiality and accuracy in handling sensitive financial information.

What you'll get in return

You will be offered a competitive salary based on your experience, along with the opportunity to work in a dynamic and supportive finance team. After an initial onboarding period, hybrid working options will be available. You will also be eligible for pension contributions following the successful completion of your probation period. This role offers a chance to gain valuable experience in a large and reputable organisation with opportunities for career development.
