Your New Company
Your new organisation is a Semi-State Utilities Body that is responsible for some of Ireland's key infrastructure, with a focus on delivering public water and wastewater services across the country. They operate nationwide in conjunction with 31 local authorities along with various construction contractors and developer stakeholders. They have offices located nationally.
Your New Role
Your new role is a hybrid role that consists of 3 days working from home and 2 days in a local office and/or site locations.You will be responsible for on-site supervision of main water networks. You will be working as part of the leakage reduction team ensuring key infrastructure is upgraded and maintained. The Leakage Reduction Project Manager leads efforts to identify, manage, and reduce water leakage across Ireland’s public water network. This role is central to the organisation's goal of achieving a national leakage rate of 25% by 2030.
This includes the supervision of contractors and consultants alike, being the face of the client organisation and ensuring relevant standards are adhered to.
You will liaise with multiple organisational functions, along with local authority executive engineers, and civil engineering contractors / stakeholders.
The site locations you will manage (in a hybrid model) are in the East of the country - Kildare/Meath/Dublin/Wicklow. Selection of duties;
- Conduct site assessments in accordance with Health and Safety Policies and Standards, and input requirements into Work Order
- Document results of inspections and approve/close Work Order as applicable
- On-site QA for Water & Wastewater Infrastructure,
- Liaising with internal functions including Asset Management, Asset Delivery, Operations etc.
- Evaluate and provide feedback on design infrastructure on and off development sites.
What You'll Need to Succeed
- Have a relevant third level qualification in Engineering, ideally Civil.
- Have extensive on or off-site experience with a civil engineering contractor / residential developer / building contractor etc.
- You must have experience previously in civil works with an emphasis on utilities, mainly water / wastewater.
- Experience with project software Maximo is sought after for relevant asset maintenance but not essential.
- To have a high level of professionalism, so you can deal with customer interactions.

You will be remunerated a strong salary based on your experience. This would be between €80,000 and €90,000..
You will receive Civil Service Mileage rates, which are non-taxable expenses for any site travel.
You will have 24 days annual leave, 10 Bank Holidays and 2 company days (extra leave).
This is essentially a job for life for the right person.
