Your new company
Your new organisation is a Semi-State Utilities Body that is responsible for some of Ireland's key infrastructure, with a focus on delivering public water and wastewater services across the country. They operate nationwide in conjunction with 31 local authorities along with various construction contractors and developer stakeholders. They have offices located nationally.
Your new role
Your new role is to s upport the rolling up of the organisational safety strategy. This is a hybrid position.Selection of duties for the position
- Manage, track and deliver on the development of departmental OH documentation, guidelines, procedures and processes.
- Deliver company-wide health and safety initiatives, projects and programs
- Manage and Lead a Team of Occupational Health professionals
- Deliver safety programmes, initiatives, and continuous improvement projects
- Develop and deliver action plans
- Support in the overall co-ordination and governance of the Work Safe Home Safe framework and associated safety action plans across the organisaiton
- Responsible for supporting the wider HSQE teams
- Support the implementation of the Leadership and Safety Culture Pillar under their Work Safe Home Safe Framework
- Responsible for providing specialist health and safety advice across the business areas to ensure strategy and organisational compliance are embedded in HSQE Policies/Procedures/Water Practices.
- Liaise and collaborate with key stakeholders to understand the needs and key activities of the business
- Responsible for coordinating the health and safety needs of employees, including rolling out of induction, policies, accident recording, reporting and investigating
- Partner with business functions to deliver a safe and excellent service to internal and external stakeholders,
- Responsible for leading, managing, motivating, coaching and developing the Health & Safety Advisors and Co-ordinators to maximise their performance.Responsible for setting objectives, reviewing and monitoring the performance and development of all team members using key performance measures
- Responsible for monthly reporting and dashboards
What you'll need to succeed
- Relevant third level qualification - engineering / safety etc
- A minimum of 5 years’ experience in managing projects and teams
- Experience in water, utilities or similar industries is desirable.
- Demonstrated people management experience, with strong people, change management and conflict resolution skills
- Highly motivated individual, working to the highest professional standards and with a proven ability to deliver results
- Strong analytical skills and ability to identify and analyse problems and potential improvements, and propose and implement solutions

This would be between €60,000 & €70,000
