Your new company
You will be joining a well-established shared services organisation that supports several large businesses within a major international group. The environment is known for its strong culture, supportive leadership, and long-term career opportunities.

Your new role
As the Risk & Internal Control Specialist, you will play a key role in strengthening governance, internal controls, SOX compliance and enterprise risk management across the business.

Your responsibilities will include:
  • Supporting the design, operation and continuous improvement of internal control frameworks
  • Conducting business and process “quick scan” reviews to identify control gaps and recommend enhancements
  • Overseeing SOX compliance (SOX 404 & 302), including documentation, testing, remediation and annual refresh
  • Acting as a key liaison with Internal Audit and supporting audit reviews
  • Driving control standardisation, automation and efficiency improvements
  • Supporting post‑acquisition integration by assessing control environments and implementing aligned frameworks
  • Helping embed risk awareness into decision‑making and governance processes
This is a high‑impact, varied role with exposure across multiple businesses and senior stakeholders.

What you'll need to succeed

You will also bring:

  • Experience delivering operational and compliance audits
  • Excellent communication, influencing and stakeholder‑management skills
  • Strong analytical ability and sound professional judgement
  • High attention to detail and the ability to manage competing priorities
  • A proactive, self-motivated approach and the ability to work independently
  • A full, clean driving licence, as travel to internal/external sites is required
  • Candidates from industry, consultancy or Big 4 backgrounds are all suitable; there is no strong preference.

What you'll get in return
You’ll join a respected, supportive organisation with an excellent culture and strong leadership. You’ll gain broad exposure, real influence, and the opportunity to shape governance and controls across multiple businesses.

Salary & benefits include:
  • €60,000 – €70,000 DOE
  • Pension scheme with up to 10% employer contribution
  • Revenue‑approved share participation scheme
  • 22 days annual leave
  • Hybrid working available
