Research Officer | €40,000 | 7 months | Dublin City/Hybrid | Public Sector

Your new company

As Research Officer, you will join a professional team at one of Ireland’s most reputable independent statutory authorities within Health & Social Care. Your new office is located in Dublin and is easily accessible via public transport. Your new company requires you to join their team until the 13th of December 2026 (approx. 7 months) and offers a hybrid work model of 1–2 days in the office per week.

Your new role

As Research Officer, you will join their Standards Team in the Health Information & Standards Directorate. This team develops evidence-based national standards for health and social care services.

Your research duties will include, but are not limited to, encompassing research (literature reviews and thematic analysis), report writing, stakeholder engagement, administration, operations and coordination of team activities.

This is a great opportunity for you to gain excellent research experience within a reputable Irish public sector organisation.

What you'll need to succeed

To become Research Officer, you will ideally have a degree qualification within health, social care or related discipline. A master’s or PhD in a relevant field is desirable but not essential. You will also have a minimum of 12 months post-graduate experience in a related area. Recent relevant experience in a similar role with proven research experience, including undertaking literature reviews, and evidence synthesis is necessary. Strong writing, editing, proofreading and presentation skills are required. Strong communication and interpersonal skills are essential as you will be communicating with a diverse range of individuals and stakeholders. Proficiency in using Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel and PowerPoint, along with the ability to meet tight project deadlines is required. Stakeholder management experience is essential.
