Your new role
In this role, you will be responsible for preparing and submitting VAT returns in compliance with relevant regulations and posting journals, including salary journals and other routine entries. You will maintain accurate financial records and ledgers, assist with month-end and year-end processes, and reconcile bank accounts while monitoring transactions. Additionally, you will support the finance team with ad-hoc reporting and administrative tasks, ensuring compliance with company policies and accounting standards at all times.

What you'll need to succeed
The ideal candidate will have at least three years of experience in a Bookkeeper or Accounts Assistant role and a strong understanding of accounting principles and processes. Proficiency in accounting software such as Sage, QuickBooks, or Xero, along with solid Excel skills, is essential. You should be able to work on your own initiative without strict supervision, manage and schedule your workload effectively, and demonstrate excellent attention to detail and accuracy. Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate remotely as part of a team are also key requirements.
