Readiness Project Manager

Position: Project Readiness Manager
Term: 12-month contract
Salary: PAYE and LTD/Umbrella pay options
Location: Limerick - Onsite role.

Here at Hays Life Sciences our Medical Device client in Limerick is hiring a Readiness Project Manager.

The Readiness Project Manager organizes, manages, and controls Project Readiness activities relating to large retrofits and new line introductions. Leads the Project Readiness cross-functional team and manages the development, roll-out, and implementation of all aspects of Project Readiness for large retrofits/new line introductions. Responsible for facilitating and developing cross-functional Project Readiness plans, timelines, and resource requirements to ensure successful project delivery including FPO’s
Key Responsibilities:

Adheres to all policies and procedures, including but not limited to Safety/Quality/Environmental standards
Main areas of responsibility:

  • Manage Project Readiness deliverables through cross-functional teams for medium to large scale projects involving either new or existing equipment
  • Manage an effective communication chain between the Project Readiness team and the main Project Leader/Sponsor
  • Assist in determining the budget to support requirements
  • Propose options to Management/Customer/Stakeholders
  • Be able to identify and escalate any risks or roadblocks, including having mitigations in place to ensure delivery of all Project Readiness milestones.
  • Utilise necessary project tools to manage projects successfully, e.g., Microsoft Project, FPX etc.
  • Apply strong Technical Writing skills to produce clear, detailed documentation, procedures, and reports, which may include standalone technical writing tasks as needed to support Project activities and compliance.

Education and/or Experience:

  • Degree in Engineering or equivalent.
  • Some Project / People Management Experience
  • Technical Knowledge
  • Previous Medical Device Industry Experience
  • Background in Quality
  • Experience managing Raw Materials and Procurement
  • FPX Project Management Methodology (Desirable)
  • Strong personality and leader with the ability to challenge various teams internally and externally.
