Hays Life Sciences is partnering with a leading pharmaceutical organisation in Cork to recruit an experienced QC Micro Team Lead.

Your new role

• Lead, mentor and develop QC Micro staff, ensuring strong performance and growth opportunities.
• Implement and optimise methods, procedures, and testing strategies.
• Communicate departmental objectives, metrics, and quality expectations.
• Drive improvements in production methods, equipment, workflows, and compliance systems.
• Oversee timely evaluation of complaints and returned products.
• Initiate and support audits, ensuring corrective actions are completed effectively.
• Provide input into quality reports, proposals, and business opportunities.
• Contribute to budget planning and apply cost‑control initiatives.

What you'll need to succeed

• 5+ years’ experience in a QC Micro role, including 3+ years in pharma.
• 1–2 years’ experience in a team lead or supervisory capacity.
• Level 8 degree in Microbiology or related discipline.
• Ability to work onsite in Cork.
• Strong leadership, communication, and problem‑solving skills.
