QA Manager - €70K - €80K + Excellent Benefits Package – Dublin
Your New Role
Based in the Dublin office, the Quality Assurance & Compliance Manager will play a pivotal role in establishing, governing, and continuously enhancing our client’s quality and compliance framework. This position is accountable for ensuring that organisational processes, engineering activities, and project delivery consistently align with internal standards, contractual commitments, and applicable regulatory and industry requirements.
The role has full ownership of the Quality Management System (QMS) and Integrated Management Systems (IMS) and provides leadership across engineering, project delivery, procurement, installation, commissioning, and maintenance functions. The Quality Assurance & Compliance Manager will act as a core business partner to senior leadership, engineering teams, and project stakeholders, embedding a culture of quality, accountability, and continuous improvement across the organisation.
This role will ensure compliance with recognised standards including ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 45001, GAMP, and other applicable industry frameworks, while supporting audit readiness, risk management, and operational excellence.
Responsibilities
Quality & Compliance Leadership
- Own and continuously improve our client’s Quality Management System (QMS) and Integrated Management Systems (IMS), ensuring ongoing compliance with ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 45001, GAMP, and other applicable standards.
- Develop, review, and control quality policies, procedures, standard operating processes, and controlled templates across all departments.
- Manage document control and governance for engineering drawings, project documentation, operational procedures, and corporate policies, ensuring standardisation, version control, and accessibility through the electronic QMS (eQMS).
- Coordinate annual management system reviews, documentation updates, and controlled releases.
Project, Engineering & Operational Quality
- Embed quality assurance processes across the full project lifecycle, including design, procurement, installation, commissioning, testing, handover, and ongoing operations.
- Define and oversee project Quality Plans where appropriate and ensure alignment with contractual obligations, client requirements, and engineering standards.
- Govern quality controls for engineering design, installation works, commissioning activities, and change control processes.
- Ensure completion, accuracy, and compliance of FAT, SAT, commissioning records, as-built drawings, and O&M documentation.
- Standardise commissioning protocols, testing procedures, checklists, and reporting formats across projects.
- Support project and engineering teams with documentation reviews, submittals, and execution of approved testing protocols.
Regulatory Compliance, Audit & Risk
- Ensure business operations remain compliant with relevant regulatory, statutory, and industry requirements, including those applicable to regulated environments such as life sciences and pharmaceuticals.
- Maintain compliance and risk registers, monitoring regulatory obligations and operational risks.
- Plan and conduct internal audits, prepare for external certification and client audits, and manage corrective and preventative actions through to closure.
- Track non-conformances, assess root causes, and monitor the effectiveness of corrective actions.
- Report compliance performance, audit outcomes, and risk status to senior leadership.
Continuous Improvement & Quality Culture
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives aimed at enhancing operational efficiency, engineering consistency, and overall quality performance.
- Define, track, and analyse quality KPIs, implementing corrective measures where required.
- Deliver quality and compliance training to engineering, project, and operational teams.
- Promote a strong culture of quality, accountability, risk awareness, and continuous improvement across the organisation.
Reporting & Executive Support
- Provide regular insight and reporting to senior leadership on quality performance, compliance metrics, audit findings, and improvement initiatives.
- Support executive governance, management reviews, and strategic decision-making through accurate and timely quality data.
What You Will Need to Succeed
- Strong working knowledge of Quality Management Systems and ISO standards.
- Hands-on experience implementing and maintaining ISO 9001, ISO 14001, and ISO 45001.
- Understanding of GAMP, V-Model, GMP, and GDP principles.
- Awareness of ISO 27001 concepts and information security fundamentals.
- Solid understanding of the engineering project lifecycle, including design, installation, commissioning, and handover.
- Experience managing commissioning documentation and project close-out deliverables.
- Familiarity with engineering testing, validation, and acceptance procedures.
- Strong background in document control and technical documentation governance.
- Practical experience with root cause analysis and corrective action methodologies.
- Understanding of automation, BMS, HVAC, or building services engineering principles.
Industry Experience (Desirable)
- Experience in regulated environments such as pharmaceutical or life sciences.
- Background in quality control within installation, commissioning, or construction settings.
- Exposure to engineering services, building services, automation, or BMS projects.
Professional Skills

Qualifications You Will Need
- Degree in Engineering, Quality Management, Construction Management, or a related technical discipline.
- ISO Lead or Internal Auditor qualification
- Quality Management certification
- NEBOSH or equivalent Health & Safety qualification
- Project Management certification
Experience
- 5–7+ years’ experience in Quality Assurance, Compliance, or Quality Management roles.
- Proven experience within engineering, construction, building services, automation/BMS, or technical services environments.
- Demonstrable experience managing ISO-certified management systems.
- Experience leading both internal and external audits.
- Strong background supporting engineering and project delivery teams.
