QA Engineer – 12 months initial contract

QA Engineer – 12-month initial contract
2 days on-site every week in Dublin city
Eligibility – EU citizen/ UK citizen/ Stamp 4 (need to be based in Ireland)
The day rate depends on experience upto €575 per day max.

Your new company
We are looking for an innovative, hands-on Quality Engineer to play a key role in the design, build, and rollout of new digital products and service solutions. This position is ideal for someone who is passionate about quality engineering, thrives in Agile environments, and enjoys collaborating across multidisciplinary teams.
You will work closely with architects, technical analysts, developers, data engineers, product owners, and delivery leaders to support rapid deployment and adoption of scalable, high-quality software solutions.


Your new role

  • Serve as an Automation Engineer and QA lead for the platform, ensuring solutions meet stakeholder quality expectations
  • Support and implement the overall QA strategy, including test plans, test design, and automation frameworks
  • Apply and evolve automated QA processes through hands-on development and continuous improvement
  • Tackle complex automation challenges across UI, API, and data layers
  • Enhance and manage the defect lifecycle process, including defining dashboards and quality metrics (e.g., defect injection rate, escape rate, test coverage, automation coverage)
  • Confidently work within open-source test frameworks and modern QA toolchains
  • Design and oversee QA environment strategy and provisioning to ensure reliable and consistent testing across environments
  • Advocate for quality as part of the Definition of Done across all teams
  • Collaborate in an Agile Scrum environment to ensure continuous delivery of high-quality software


What you'll need to succeed

  • 5+ years of automated testing experience using Java and/or Groovy
  • 5+ years of cross-browser testing experience
  • 4+ years of experience working with relational databases
  • 5+ years working within Agile delivery teams
  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or equivalent practical experience
  • 5+ years of experience testing RESTful services
  • Experience in highly regulated or data-sensitive industries
  • Working knowledge of tools such as Maven, Git-based repositories, MySQL, or Databricks
  • Experience with Playwright
  • Experience with data quality frameworks (e.g., Great Expectations or similar)
  • Performance testing experience (e.g., Gatling or similar tools)
  • Experience testing React-based applications
  • Background in software development
  • Experience contributing to complex, large-scale enterprise initiatives
