Procurement manager based in Mayo

Known for its innovative approach and collaborative culture, the company is experiencing sustained growth and is now seeking an experienced Senior Buyer/Procurement Manager to lead on key purchasing activities and drive cost‑effective sourcing strategies.
Your new role
As Senior Buyer/Procurement Manager, you will take ownership of the end-to-end procurement cycle across key categories. Your responsibilities will include developing sourcing strategies, managing supplier relationships, leading negotiations, assessing vendor performance, and identifying opportunities to reduce cost while maintaining quality and service levels. You will oversee purchasing processes, analyse spend data, evaluate market trends, and ensure compliance with procurement policies. In addition, you will collaborate closely with internal stakeholders to support operational needs, forecast material availability, and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives. Depending on the organisation, you may also supervise junior members of the procurement team and support broader supply chain planning.
What you'll need to succeed
- Proven experience in a Senior Buyer or Procurement Manager role
- Strong negotiation, contract management, and supplier relationship skills
- Demonstrated ability to develop and execute procurement strategies
- Excellent commercial awareness with the ability to analyse data and identify cost‑saving opportunities
- Strong knowledge of procurement systems and ERP platforms
- Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and leadership abilities
- Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and make sound commercial decisions
- Relevant qualifications (e.g., CIPS) are desirable but not essential.
