A Project Manager is required in the west to manage construction projects.

Your new company

Project Manager Role
  • Oversee construction projects from beginning to end.
  • Determine the necessary equipment, materials, and workforce needed.
  • Keep track of inventory, tools and equipment.
  • Ensure materials and equipment are ordered and delivered according to schedule.
  • Prepare reports on Project Management Software.
  • Resolve any problems that may arise.
  • Ensure compliance with Health and Safety Legislation.
  • Ensure compliance with BCAR and manage submissions.
  • Collaborate with subcontractors, engineers, architects and key team members of the project team.
  • Plan construction operations.
  • Ensure all deadlines are met.
  • Hire contractors and staff, including construction labourers.
  • Allocate and manage resources to ensure that they are available when they are needed throughout the construction projects.
  • Handle any environmental or local community issues that may come up during a project.
  • Conduct site checks and quality control documents to be included in weekly reports.

The ideal candidate will
  • Have excellent communication, interpersonal skills and negotiation skills.
  • Be a team player.
  • Be motivated and enjoy working in Construction.
  • Be highly organised.
  • Be tech-savvy and have good computer skills.
  • Have excellent time management ability.
  • Good knowledge of construction materials and processes.
  • Be able to multitask with a strong understanding of core manager duties.
  • Work in the Mayo / Galway / Limerick area.

Education:
  • Advanced/Higher Certificate (preferred)

Experience:
  • Construction Project Mgt: 3 years (preferred)
