Your new role

The Project Manager is responsible for the end‑to‑end delivery of approved change initiatives, ensuring that projects are completed safely, effectively, and in line with strategic, regulatory, and operational priorities. Working within an established Business Change framework, the Project Manager collaborates with business and technology stakeholders to plan, govern, and deliver change, while ensuring compliance with defined change standards, risk policies, and governance models as outlined in the organisation’s Business Change Service Catalogue.

Key Responsibilities
Project Delivery & Ownership
  • Manage projects end-to-end, from initiation to closure
  • Define scope, timelines, goals, and dependencies
  • Ensure projects are delivered on time, within scope, and meet quality standards
  • Identify risks early and implement mitigation plans
Governance & Reporting
  • Ensure projects follow established governance frameworks
  • Provide clear updates to leadership and steering committees
  • Maintain key project documents (risks, issues, decisions, actions)
  • Work with the PMO to ensure consistent standards and smooth delivery
Risk & Change Management
  • Identify and manage risks, issues, and dependencies.
  • Communicate risks and trade-offs clearly to stakeholders.
  • Control and manage scope changes through formal processes.
  • Work with business teams to ensure clear and achievable requirements.
  • Support go-live readiness and smooth transition into operations.
Stakeholder Management & Closure
  • Build strong relationships across business and technical teams.
  • Communicate progress, risks, and decisions clearly.
  • Track and support delivery of project benefits.
  • Lead project closure, including documentation and lessons learnt.

What you'll need to succeed

Essential
• 5+ years’ experience managing projects within a structured change or delivery function
• Proven experience delivering change through formal governance frameworks
• Strong understanding of:
o Project management methodologies
o Risk and dependency management
o Change delivery in regulated environments
• Excellent communication skills (written and verbal)
• Strong organisational and planning capability

Desirable
• Experience in Financial Services or similarly regulated environments
• Familiarity with:
o Change risk frameworks
o Benefits realisation tracking


Qualification required
  • Third level qualification required.
  • Holding relevant qualifications from the IOB or an equivalent qualification is desirable.
