Hays Recruitment is proud to partner with a long-established, family-run construction contractor in Co. Cork to recruit a skilled and motivated Project Manager. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a company with over 50 years of experience delivering high-quality construction solutions across Cork and nationwide.
As the business continues to grow, we are seeking a Project Manager to oversee multiple small-scale fitout and refurbishment projects, ensuring delivery on time, within budget, and to the highest standards of quality and safety.

The Role
Reporting to the Construction Director, the Project Manager will take full ownership of the construction lifecycle for assigned projects. This includes planning, execution, stakeholder management, and ensuring all deliverables meet client expectations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Ensure compliance with PSCS duties and uphold the highest health and safety standards on site
  • Interpret and manage contract documents including drawings, specifications, and BOQs
  • Develop and maintain project programmes and schedules
  • Monitor progress and ensure delivery on time, within budget, and to specification
  • Manage subcontractor performance with a focus on safety, quality, and cost control
  • Collaborate with the Quantity Surveyor to manage project costs and achieve financial targets.
  • Lead regular meetings with clients, design teams, and senior management
  • Oversee procurement and supply chain coordination
  • Liaise with the public and regulatory bodies as required
  • Ensure adherence to company policies and procedures on site
  • Provide regular progress reports to the Construction Director
  • Lead and motivate the site team, identifying opportunities for improvement.
Skills & Experience
  • Degree in Construction Management or a related discipline
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in a similar role
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and Microsoft Project
  • Strong leadership and team management skills
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement abilities
  • In-depth technical knowledge of construction methodologies and processes
  • Highly organised with the ability to manage multiple priorities under pressure
  • Proactive, solutions-focused, and a strong team player.
