Your new role

This is an exciting opportunity to join a leading engineering consultancy with a strong presence across Ireland. Our client is currently hiring a Project Manager to support our Transportation team. They are looking for an organised professional with a solid engineering background and experience managing multidisciplinary design projects. Chartered Engineer status is preferred, along with a track record of delivering schemes from concept through to detailed design. This role offers the chance to work closely with industry-leading clients and stakeholders, leading projects of varying scale and complexity. There may also be opportunities to contribute to other sectors where your skills are transferable.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead transportation projects as Project Manager or Package Manager
  • Oversee contract and commercial management
  • Manage and coordinate the design process
  • Mentor and support junior team members
  • Lead tender proposals and contribute to winning new work


What you'll need to succeed

  • Degree-qualified in engineering (Level 8/9)
  • Chartered with Engineers Ireland or an equivalent institution
  • Relevant consultancy experience, ideally in Ireland or the UK
  • Proven track record in delivering multidisciplinary infrastructure projects
  • Strong understanding of the full project lifecycle
  • Ability to lead and coordinate multidisciplinary design teams
  • Ambition and potential to grow into more senior roles
  • Collaborative approach to working with colleagues, partners, and stakeholders
  • Awareness of emerging technologies and industry best practices
  • Confidence to challenge conventional thinking and propose innovative solutions
  • Excellent communication skills – written, verbal, and presentation
  • Full driving licence required
