Your New Role
In your new role as a Project Manager, you will take the lead in the management and delivery of small to large scale transportation schemes throughout Ireland. You will have the relevant experience, preferably from a design consultancy background, and will have demonstrated your expertise in all phases of planning, design, and construction.
As Project Manager, you will join their busy Energy & Transportation team to be based in their Dublin office.
A selection of your responsibilities include:
- Ensuring the provision of efficient and high-quality engineering services, to a high level of quality assurance in accordance with relevant design standards and codes.
- Technical experience in the development of transportation and/or linear infrastructure projects through all stages of a project lifecycle i.e. Optioneering and Appraisal, Preliminary Design, Planning, Detailed Design, Procurement and Construction Stage Administration through Public Works Contracts and/or NEC.
- The role will include winning work, overseeing the delivery of work, client management, financial management, technical knowledge of route optioneering and appraisal, co-ordination of the preparation of statutory approval process documentation including CPO, contract documentation and management of construction activities.
- Managing a multidisciplinary team.
- Lead, manage and work to a budget and programme, to control costs and manage change control processes.
- Working collaboratively with colleagues, client delivery partners and team members to ensure successful results and effective delivery.
- Develop and build client relationships.
- Proven experience, preferably in Ireland/UK, of effectively managing Clients and other external stakeholders, both technically and commercially.
What You Need to Succeed
- 8 years or more of prior experience.
- Chartered or close to achieving Chartership.
- Full Irish/EU driving licence
- Be self-motivated, enthusiastic, hardworking, flexible, willing to take responsibility and collaborative with experience in delivering multidisciplinary designs as it will be a role working closely with industry-leading clients and stakeholders.
- Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills.
- Flexible approach with the ability to be able to multitask and prioritise when necessary.
- Positive outlook and approachable manner.
- Well-motivated, able to work as part of a team or alone when required.
- Confidence to challenge the status quo and think outside the box.
