An Irish tech company with international presence has a new headcount position available for a newly or recently qualified accountant who has experience in or would love to specialise in systems projects and financial planning & analysis. This company offers hybrid working 3 days in office and 2 days at home and with the rate of growth and change, your role will expand and will offer exciting new learnings and challenges as you progress.

Your new role
Joining a team of 5, this Project Accountant will report to the Head of Finance. Your duties will include responsibilities across the finance function but with a core focus on systems and FP&A long-term:

• Lead systems projects to enhance current ERP functionality across areas like consolidation, intercompany, coding and fx management
• Lead process improvements that will automate and streamline month end and management account packs
• Bring in PowerBI to the finance function to enhance and simplify current reporting and insights, advising on other suitable tools for implementation over time
• Build a forecasting model to facilitate comprehensive scenario planning and KPI reporting
• Assist with audit readiness and compliance, including introducing SOP documentation to streamline processes
• Assist on ad-hoc projects such as acquisitions, integrations and resulting restructuring.

What you'll need to succeed

• You will need to be a fully qualified accountant with 0–7 years' PQE (ACCA/CIMA/CPA/ACA), ideally from an SME background in industry with strong technical capabilties
• Previous systems/ERP project management experience – migrations, implementations, testing, mapping of workflows, process improvement
• PowerBI or other data analytic tools
• FP&A experience – particularly in detailed forecasting and ideally financial modelling
