Your new company
Our client is a leading national infrastructure organisation based in Cork, playing a key role in supporting Ireland’s energy network and transition to a more sustainable future. They are now looking for a Procurement Administrator to join their team on a 12-month contract basis due to increased workload and ongoing project growth. Fully on-site for 6 weeks, hybrid 2 days in office per week thereafter.
Your new role
In this role, you will support procurement and engineering teams by coordinating the end-to-end purchasing process for materials and services across a range of projects. You will be responsible for preparing and managing requests for quotation (RFQ) documentation, liaising with suppliers and internal stakeholders, and ensuring procurement activities are delivered efficiently and in line with internal procedures.
You will manage supplier queries, track responses, maintain accurate procurement records, and support purchase order creation through internal systems. The role will also involve maintaining schedules and trackers, assisting with tender and contract processes, and carrying out supplier and product research to support project delivery.
What you'll need to succeed
You will have at least 2–3 years’ experience in an administrative or procurement support role, with exposure to purchase orders, invoicing, or general procurement processes. Proficiency in Microsoft Office is essential, and you will bring a structured, methodical approach to coordinating tasks and supporting stakeholders.
You will have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, along with strong organisational and time-management abilities, enabling you to effectively manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. You will be comfortable working both independently and as part of a collaborative team, demonstrating a proactive approach and strong attention to detail.
Experience within a supply chain, project, or technical environment would be advantageous, as would familiarity with systems such as Oracle, Maximo, or SharePoint.
What you'll get in return
You will receive a competitive salary with an Employer of Choice in Cork, along with the opportunity to gain valuable experience working within a collaborative and fast-paced environment supporting large-scale projects.
This role will be fully onsite for the initial 6 weeks to support onboarding, systems training, and team integration, and will move to a hybrid working model thereafter (2 days onsite per week).
