Mid-size practice – Qualified accountant – Great room for growth – Must have Irish tax and audit experience

Your new company

This practice firm are seeking an experienced, qualified accountant to join the team. Those applying must have previous experience working in a small – medium-sized Irish practice firm and have a strong understanding of financial reporting, regulatory compliance, taxation and legislation in the Irish market. This firm are a 3-partner practice, who partner with a well-established client base and give a full-service offering. This role offers ample room to grow.


The office is based in Dublin city centre. Hybrid working available.

Your new role

You will work with a variety of client types and sizes and be responsible for all facets of accounts production and taxation.

Duties
  • Produce statutory financial statements for a variety of clients within your portfolio
  • Balance sheet reconciliations
  • Corporate advisory and consulting – M&A, re-org, formation, raising revenue, compliance and more
  • Tax returns – CTO, VAT, Payroll etc
  • Meeting with clients both in person and virtually
  • General admin, filing and document control

What you'll need to succeed

To be considered, you must be well versed in Irish statutory requirements and have at least 7+ years' experience in another practice role.

Requirements
  • Previous SME practice or client accounting exposure essential.
  • Qualified accountant – ACA, CPA, ACCA
  • Minimum 5 years PQE within practice
  • Ability to work well on your own initiative
  • Strong corporate tax understanding
  • Ability to produce accounts to review stage in a standalone capacity.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to easily relay complex financial data to non-finance professionals and international clients
  • Experience using Bright accounts (Surf / Relate) and Xero an advantage.


What you'll get in return

This role offers a salary up to €65,000 with some potential for further negotiation for 10+ years relevant experience. This role offers excellent flexibility and autonomy to work on your own initiative. This firm hold a policy of flexible working, and ensure all team members are supported.

They are open to offering 1 day working in office, with further potential for remote work for the right person with the above skill set.
