Your New Role
In your new role as Power Station Operator, you will be reporting to the Shift Team Leader. You will be working at one of their sites in North Wall or Ringsend at their generating stations. These are managed, maintained and operated to strict efficiency and availability standards in a competitive commercial market. These stations are a part of the Generating and Trading division and are vital to the national electricity network.

Key Responsibilities
- Ensure the safe and efficient operation of all plants, as well as the safety of all personnel on site
- Carry out day-to-day activities such as monitoring, assessing, testing, and operating plant equipment
- Operation and maintenance of the power plant in line with strict safety, environmental, commercial, and chemical requirements
- Compliance with safety and environmental obligations
- Supporting the shift operations team in day-to-day activities.
Maintaining a shift operations record and submitting reports as required by the Shift Team Leader and/or Operations Manager - Assisting in the development and implementation of procedures and systems for plant operations, testing and related activities
- Involvement in initial front-line maintenance/troubleshooting and outage maintenance as required.
What You Need to Succeed
Essential
- 2+ years process or operations experience
- Ability to analyse, process and control information to appropriately respond to plant operational conditions
- Flexibility and availability to provide shift cover when required
Desirable
- A full B-Category driving licence
- A craft qualification in Control & Instrumentation, Electrical or Mechanical Fitting.
Relevant Construction Skills Certification Scheme (CSCS) tickets and qualifications - A good working knowledge of health and safety, and environmental legislation and standards.
Awareness of Safe System of Work - Contractor support / supervision experience
- Experience using Maintenance / Operations Management Systems
