Payroll Specialist – Overseeing payroll across UK, Ireland, and mainland Europe

Your new role

Seeking a detail-oriented Payroll Specialist to manage payroll operations across a multinational workforce. This key role ensures accurate, compliant, and timely payroll processing across Ireland, the UK, Denmark, and mainland Europe.

Key Responsibilities
  • Process weekly/monthly payrolls for Irish and international employees
  • Ensure compliance with PRSI, PAYE, USC, and international equivalents
  • Manage inputs: timesheets, overtime, leave, redundancy, and travel allowances
  • Liaise with HR and finance to resolve payroll queries and onboard/offboard staff
  • Prepare payroll reports for internal P&L tracking and client cost recovery
  • Maintain payroll systems and documentation in line with ISO standards
  • Support audits and statutory reporting across jurisdictions
  • Monitor legislative changes and update payroll practices accordingly
  • Ensure tax compliance and reporting to multiple branch managers

What you'll need to succeed

  • 5+ years’ payroll experience across multiple jurisdictions
  • IPASS qualification or equivalent preferred
  • Strong knowledge of Irish payroll legislation and European frameworks
  • Proficiency in BrightPay, Sage, Thesaurus, and Excel
  • High attention to detail, confidentiality, and deadline management
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
